Among the ninety-three (93) recalls the NHTSA announced in March came news of the following notification:

Logo - Porsche Cars North America, Inc. ("Porsche")Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (“Porsche”), an Atlanta, Georgia establishment and division of Porsche AG, a Stuttgart, Germany establishment and subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, has recalled an estimated 8,101 model year 2020-2024 Porsche 911 Coupes marketed, sold and delivered in the United States.

Recall Category: Visibility – Improperly secured Windows may detach

NHTSA Safety Notification 24V155000 reports the Front Windshield and Rear Window may not be properly secured and can detach.

According to the NHTSA, during Air Bag deployment, an unsecured Windshield may not support the Front Air Bags as intended, increasing the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

Authorized Porsche Dealers will inspect and replace the Windshield and Rear Window as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed April 26, 2024.

Owners may contact Porsche Customer Service toll-free at 1-800-767-7243 during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) for more information. Porsche’s designation for this recall is ARA3.
