US/Silver Spring:Belgian Yummies, a Fort Myers, Florida establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Belgian Yummies, Sofra and Ria branded Ice Cream and Gelato Desserts from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Coconut, Egg, Peanuts, Soy and Wheat, both/all known allergens, sources of dietary intolerance and possible triggers of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
As well, some of the recalled Ice Cream products contain FD&C Yellow #5, also known as Tartrazine, an FDA-approved color commonly used to dye tablets, capsules, vitamins and antacids with potential for several serious interactions and requiring package statement warnings.
