Zweigle’s Inc., a Rochester, New York establishment, recalls an estimated 6,082 pounds of Zweigle’s branded ready-to-eat Olive Loaf Pork products due to suspected risk of Sodium Nitrite levels in excess of the US regulatory limit, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention. In addition, Sodium Nitrite is a suspected risk factor for the formation of Carcinogenic Nitrosamines, Cancer-producing compounds.
