Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Security Safes are subject to this recall:

• Garrison Small Security Safe, Digital Lock; product code: 046-0035; UPC: 6926373306997 and 6926373306980
• Garrison Large Security Safe, Digital Lock; product code: 046-0036; UPC: 6926373307000

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to Health Canada, the affected Garrison Security Safes are being recalled as a precautionary measure since the Safe can be opened without using the digital code and key. The contents of a particular Safe can, therefore, be easily accessible to children, and provides a false sense of security.

Canadian Tire has received one (1) report regarding the above issue. Health Canada has not received any reports of consumer incidents or injuries related to the use of these safes.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession a recalled Security Safe, please do not use it. Instead, kindly return the product to the Canadian Tire store where you purchased it for a full refund.
