Canada FlagCanada/Ottawa: The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”), an Ottawa, Ontario-based statutory regulatory and food safety authority, warns against the consumption of all current batch/lots of LittleOak branded Infant Formula products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected failure to submit the required pre-market submission to meet Canadian food safety and nutritional standards and regulations. In addition, these products do not meet Canadian labelling and/or composition requirements.

Due to these defects, the affected Baby Formula poses risks of bacterial and/or viral infection, undeclared allergens, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Baby Formula products are subject to this recall:

  • LittleOak branded Infant Formula made with Natural Goat Milk, sold in 800 gram canisters
  • LittleOak branded Infant Formula made with Natural Goat Milk, sold in 150 gram packages consisting of six (6) – 30 grams packets
  • LittleOak branded Follow-on Formula made with Natural Goat Milk, sold in 800 gram canisters
  • LittleOak branded Follow-on Formula made with Natural Goat Milk, sold in 150 gram packages consisting of six (6) – 30 grams packets

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Baby Formula products can be found on the Web site above.

These LittleOak branded Infant Formula products may have been been be marketed, distributed and sold in all Canadian provinces, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country, particularly over the Web. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled LittleOak branded Infant Formula and LittleOak branded Follow-on Formula, please do not consume them directly, feed them to your child nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis or bacterial and/or viral poisonings such as Botulism, Cronobacter, Listeriosis, Salmonellosis or Escherichia Coli (“E. Coli”) poisoning.
