US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Snak King Corporation, a City of Industry, California establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Trader Joe’s Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips from the American marketplace due to undeclared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Tortilla Chip products are subject to this recall:

  • Trader Joe’s Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips, sold in nine (9)-ounce white bags with a clear viewing window and sell-by dates of 08/09/21 or 08/10/21

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Tortilla Chip products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US states of AL, AZ, AR, CA, CO, DC, DE, ID, KS, LA, MD, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA and WA although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Snak King Corporation has recalled certain batch/lots of Trader Joe’s Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips from the American marketplace due to undeclared Milk.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Trader Joe’s Restaurant Style White Corn Tortilla Chips and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.
