US/Silver Spring: Homestead Creamery, a Wirtz, Virginia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Milk, Eggnog and Lemonade products from the American marketplace due to suspected chemical cleaner contamination and consequential risks of off-taste, off-odor, burns, internal ingestion and GI tract laceration damage, all serious health and safety hazards.

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FDA, Homestead Creamery has recalled certain batch/lots of Milk, Eggnog and Lemonade products from the American marketplace due to suspected Chemical Cleaner contamination. Due to this production defect, the glass-bottled products in question may have a strong sanitizer odor. This may affect the taste and quality of the product.

These returnable glass bottles were known to have distributed in Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia in October 2020 through retail stores, direct delivery, and wholesale distributors. Shipments of this product began on October 15, 2020.

Eggnog and Custard were packaged in round, non-returnable glass bottles with the best by date of November 15, 2020 and were known to have been distributed to The Fresh Market stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. Shipments of this product started on October 14, 2020.

==> You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Milk, Eggnog and Lemonade products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Milk, Eggnog and/or Lemonade products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the beverages to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat chemical cleaner contamination, oral burns, internal ingestion and GI tract damage.
