Canada/Ottawa: Salmon Village Atlantic Salmon Recall [Canada]Delta Pacific Seafoods, a Vancouver, British Columbia establishment, recalls all current batch/lots of Salmon Village branded Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon Nuggets due to suspected risk of Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risk of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health hazards.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Salmon Fish are subject to this recall:

  • Salmon Village branded Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon Nuggets – Maple flavour, sold in 150 gram plastic packages with a batch/lot designation of 1227.18 F26.18; affected best-before dates: all best-before codes and a UPC of 8 28684 00108 9

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Delta Pacific Seafoods has recalled certain Salmon Village brand Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon Nuggets from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. You should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salmon Fish products identified above,

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Smoked Atlantic Salmon Fish, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
