Canada FlagCanada/Ottawa: C & A Marketing, Inc., a Edison, New Jersey establishment, recalls an estimated 579 Lil Jumbl Bedside Baby Bassinets with Canopy and Music from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected failure to meet Canadian bassinet requirements and consequential risks of falls, laceration, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury.

Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Baby Bassinets are subject to this recall:

  • Lil Jumbl Bedside Baby Bassinets, a bedding product product marketed, sold and delivered in gray with sides composed of fabric and mesh with a UPC and 843812122634

Please consult the photograph above for details of the product’s design and retail presentation.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Baby Bassinets were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all Canadian provinces online at Amazon, Overstock and Wayfair, as well as by third-party sellers online at Target and Walmart although it is always possible these furniture products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to Health Canada, its sampling and evaluation program has determined that the recalled Baby Bassinets do not meet the Canadian Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations. Specifically, the Bassinets do not meet stability requirements when used as a stand alone Bassinets, and may, therefore, pose an injury hazard to small children who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Lil Jumbl Bedside Baby Bassinets, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact C & A Marketing for a refund with proof of disposal.
