UK/London: Wing Yip, a Birmingham, West Midlands establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of TKC Vegetarian Style Mutton Pieces from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Sheep Meat products are subject to recall:

• TKC Vegetarian Style Mutton Pieces, sold with 500 gram plastic packages; affected batch/lot: all codes and dates up to and including 26 February 2026

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Wing Yip has recalled certain batch/lots of TKC Vegetarian Style Mutton Pieces from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Gluten. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Sheep Meat products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled TKC Vegetarian Style Mutton Pieces and could be allergic to their Gluten ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
