US/Silver Spring: Roly Poly Bakery, a New Britain, Connecticut establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Roly Poly Multigrain Bread products from the American marketplace due to mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Baked Goods are subject to this Quick Look recall:

• Roly Poly Multigrain Bread, sold in 20-ounce clear plastic bags, purchased prior to 04/11/2024 with a partial UPC of 5005-8723

These Roly Poly Multigrain Bread products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from Roly Poly Bakery stores in Polmart, Connecticut and New Britain Market Place, Connecticut; Bernat’s Deli in Massachusetts; and Golemo’s Market in Massachusetts, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Roly Poly Multigrain Bread products and could be allergic to their Egg ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat such as Anaphylaxis.
