US FlagUS/Silver Spring: The Perfect Bite Co., a Glendale, California establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Mexican Style Street Corn Bites sold at Costco Warehouse stores from the American marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Frozen Corn Snacks are subject to this recall:

  • The Perfect Bite Co. Mexican Style Street Corn Bites, sold in 36-count, 29.9-ounces cardboard boxes with a batch/lot designation of 223231 and a best-by date of 02/21/2025

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Frozen Corn Snacks can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Perfect Bite Co. Mexican Style Street Corn Bites were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the US states of California and Hawaii, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Frozen Corn Snacks identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after it was reported that the above Perfect Bite Co. Mexican Style Street Corn Bites were reportedly manufactured using Cheese recalled by Rizo-López Foods, Inc. and has been associated with an outbreak investigation in the United States. Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled the Perfect Bite Co. Mexican Style Street Corn Bites, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Corn Snacks to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
