US FlagUS/Silver Spring: Braga Fresh, a Soledad, California establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Marketside Bacon Ranch Crunch Chopped Salad Kits sold exclusively at Walmart stores from the American marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following prepared Salad Kits are subject to this recall:

  • Marketside Bacon Ranch Crunch Chopped Salad Kits, sold at Walmart stores with a batch/lot of BFFS, a best-if-used-before (“BIUB”) date within the range from January 20, 2024 to February 19, 2024 and a UPC of 6 8113130544 0

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Salad Kits can be found on the Web site above.

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification

These Marketplace branded Salad Kits were known to be marketed, distributed and sold from Walmart Stores in the US states of California and Nevada, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country.

Logo - US Food and Drug Administration ("FDA")According to the FDA, Braga Fresh has recalled certain batch/lots of Marketside Bacon Ranch Crunch Chopped Salad Kits sold at certain Walmart stores from the American marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salad Kits identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after it was reported that the above Salad Kit products were manufactured using Cheese recalled by Rizo-López Foods, Inc. and has been associated with an outbreak investigation in the United States. Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Marketside branded Salad Kits, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
