US/Silver Spring: The Quaker Oats Company, a Chicago, Illinois establishment and subsidiary of PepsiCo of Purchase, New York, recalls certain batch/lots of various Quaker branded Granola Bars and Granola Cereals from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
