US/Silver Spring: Select Custom Solutions, a North Palm Beach, Florida establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein Supplement powder from the American marketplace due to suspected hard plastic fragment contamination and consequential risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction/perforation and sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Nutritional Supplement Powder products are subject to this recall:

• Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein Supplement Powder, sold in 24-ounce white pouches with a batch/lot of 23080-2C2 with a production time stamp ranging from 09:00 to 12:00

Please consult the photograph above for details of the drug’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Nutritional Supplement Powder products can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, DINs, item numbers, best-before date codes, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Nutritional Supplement products may have been marketed, distributed and sold in all US states, although it is always possible these Supplement products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Select Custom Solutions has recalled certain batch/lots of Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein Supplement powder from the American marketplace due to suspected hard plastic fragment contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Supplement products identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, metal, plastic and/or rubber fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Jay Robb Vanilla Flavored Egg White Protein Supplement Powder products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return contact Select Custom Solutions for a full refund and product disposal instructions.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction/perforation and sepsis.
