Daily’s Ready-To-Eat Bacon Recall [US]

The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Bacon Products are subject to this recall:

• 17 cases of 2- to 5-pound cardboard boxes of “48108 Regular Ends Precooked Bacon net weight 10 lbs. 2/5 lbs” with a packaging date of 9/22/16 and use-by date of 6/19/17

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the USDA, the Bacon subject to recall bears establishment number “EST. 6133” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The product was shipped to Associated Foods retail locations in Idaho and Utah.

The problem was discovered during the company’s routine internal third-party testing when a product sample collected tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. As yet, there have been no confirmed reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
