US/Silver Spring: Penn Herb Company Ltd. a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Nature’s Wonderland Thyroid Formula Supplements from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Nutritional Supplements are subject to this recall:

• Nature’s Wonderland Thyroid Formula Supplements, sold in plastic bottles of 60 capsules each with an item designation of Sm32x and a batch/lot designation of 23289A

Please consult the photograph above for details of the drug’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Thyroid Supplements can be found on the Web site above.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, NDCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Nature’s Wonderland Thyroid Formula Supplements may have been marketed, distributed and sold in the US states, although it is always possible these drug products had wider distribution outside the country including over the Web. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the FDA, Penn Herb Company has recalled certain batch/lots of Nature’s Wonderland Thyroid Formula Supplements from the American marketplace due to suspected Salmonella contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Supplements identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after routine sampling program by FDA determined that the finished Supplements tested positive for Salmonella.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Nature’s Wonderland Thyroid Formula Supplements, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Supplements to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial | viral poisonings such as Salmonellosis.
