US/Washington: Conagra Brands, Inc, a Marshall, Missouri establishment, recalls an estimated 245,366 pounds of Conagra Banquet branded Frozen Chicken Strip Meals from the American marketplace due to suspected bone fragment contamination and consequential risks of risks of choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The United States Department of Agriculture (“USDA”) reports the following Chicken Meal products are subject to this recall:

• Conagra Banquet Frozen Chicken Strip Meals, sold in 8.9-ounce red cardboard cartons containing one (1) entree meal with best-if-used-by date code of DEC 11 2024, JAN 01 2025 or JAN 07 2025 and a batch/lot number designation of 5009317120, 5009319220 or 5009319820

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Conagra Banquet Frozen Chicken Strip Meals were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all US states, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the USDA, Conagra Brands have recalled an estimated 245,366 pounds of Conagra Banquet Frozen Chicken Strip Meals from the American marketplace due to suspected bone fragment contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken Stick products identified above.

In general, if bone, glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure small children and pets can’t access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Conagra Banquet Frozen Chicken Strip Meals, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
