(“Iceland”), a Deeside, Flintshire, Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Cathedral City Cheese & Ham Gratin Meals from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following prepared Cheese & Ham Gratin Meals are subject to recall:

  • Iceland Foods Cathedral City Cheese & Ham Gratin Meals, sold in 400-gram clear-topped white plastic trays with a best-before date of 02 May 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Cheese & Ham Gratin Meals identified above.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Cheese & Ham Gratin Meals, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the prepared meals to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings and Listeriosis.
