UK FlagUK/London: Findlater’s Fine Foods, a Linlithgow, West Lothian establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Findlater’s Roast Smoked Salmon Fish Paté from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Mustard, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Smoked Salmon Paté products are subject to recall:

  • Findlater’s Roast Smoked Salmon Fish Paté, sold in 115 gram tubs with a use-by date of 09 August 2023

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Logo - UK Food Standards AgencyAccording to the FSA, Findlater’s Fine Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Findlater’s Roast Smoked Salmon Fish Paté from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Mustard. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Salmon spreads identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Findlater’s Roast Smoked Salmon Fish Paté and could be allergic to their Mustard ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
