Food Recall: Potts’ Truffle Mayonnaise

UK/London: Potts Partnership, a Swindon, Wiltshire establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Potts’ Truffle Mayonnaise from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Egg Dressing Spreads are subject to this recall:

• Potts’ Truffle Mayonnaise, sold in 230 gram jars with a batch/lot code of 18823 and a best-before of July 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Egg Dressing Spreads can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, Potts Partnership has recalled certain batch/lots of Potts’ Truffle Mayonnaise from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Egg product identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Potts’ Truffle Mayonnaise, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Egg Dressing Spreads to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Listeriosis.
