Canada/Ottawa: Export Packers Company Ltd., a London, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Pork Tenderloin due to suspected Desoxycarbadox contamination, a metabolite of Carbadox and consequential risk of genotoxic and carcinogenic injury, all serious health hazards. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Pork products are subject to this recall:

• Smithfield branded Pork Tenderloin, sold in various sizes with the following batch/lot product codes: 11/23, 11/24, 11/25 or 11/28

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CFIA, Export Packers, a recalls certain batch/lots of Pork Tenderloin due to suspected Desoxycarbadox contamination.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Pork, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
