The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Patties are subject to recall:

  • Island Delight Jerk Chicken Flaky Patties, sold in 140 gram packages with a use-by date of 26 March 2017 and a barcode/UPC of 05029266050074
  • Island Delight Lamb Shortcrust Patties, sold in 140 gram packages with a use-by date of 26 March 2017 and a barcode/UPC of 05029266000055

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. One (1) additional image of the recalled Jerk Patties can be found on the Web site above.

According to the FSA, Cleone Foods has recalled two (2) of its Meat Patty Products because they do not contain the required wording “use by” with the date code information indicating the specific date by which the Patties can be safely consumed. These food products were sold at ASDA, Co-operative, Iceland, Nisa-Retail, Morrison’s, Sainsbury’s and Tesco stores.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Island Delight Jerk Patties, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
