UK/London: Lituanica UK Ltd., a Barking, Essex establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Daivida Rokiskio Mesine Pork Tongue and Ear Rolls from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Processed Pork products are subject to recall:

• Daivida Rokiskio Mesine Pork Tongue and Ear Rolls, sold in 400 gram (variable) vacuum packages;l affected batch/lot codes: all current batch/lots with a best-before date of 23 May 2024, 30 May 2024, 06 June 2024 or 13 June 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the FSA, Lituanica UK has recalled certain batch/lots of Daivida Rokiskio Mesine Pork Tongue and Ear Rolls from the British marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Processed Pork products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Daivida Rokiskio Mesine Pork Tongue and Ear Rolls, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Pork to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Listeriosis.
