Canada/Ottawa: Fruits et Légumes Gaétan Bono, Beauvais Ltée., Grade A Fruits and Vegetables Ltd. and Botsis Fruits & Legumes Inc. expand their existing recalls for certain batch/lots of Malichita branded Cantaloupes from the Canadian marketplace to include additional dates-sold and distribution information.
The original recall was initiated due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
