Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety safety authority, recalls certain 2011 model year Hyundai Elantra Touring Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada due to possible rupture of the Driver-Front Airbag Inflator when the Airbag deploys in a crash. If this defect occurs, the Airbag may not fully inflate and fragments could be propelled toward vehicle occupants.
An Airbag Inflator that ruptures can create a risk of serious injury or death.
