Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls an estimated 12,469 model year 2021 and 2022 Audi A7 Sedans; 2020 to 2021 Audi A8 Sedans; 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Audi E-Tron Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”); 2022, 2023 and 2024 Audi E- Tron GT SUVs; 2022, 2023 and 2024 Audi Q4 E-Tron SUVs; 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 Audi Q5 SUVs; and 2022, 2023 and 2024 Audi RS E-Tron GT Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.
Under certain conditions, the Plug for the 220 volt Compact Vehicle Charging Cable for the recalled Audi Sedans and SUVs could become damaged by the House AC Power Outlet. As a result, the Cable could overheat while charging.
Please note: this recall only affects Electric and Plug-in Hybrid Electric (“PHEV”) models.
