Canada/Ottawa: Ararat Trading (2002) Corp., a Mississauga, Ontario establishment, expands its existing recall for certain batch/lots of Ararat branded Tahina Spreads from the Canadian marketplace to include additional geographical distribution information.

The original recall was initiated due to suspected Salmonella contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.
