Canada FlagCanada/Ottawa: Eclipse Coffee Roasters Ltd., a Canmore, Alberta establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Elevate Snapchill Canned Coffee products from the Canadian marketplace due to possible Clostridium botulinum contamination with consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Canned Coffee products are subject to this recall:

  • Eclipse Coffee Roasters branded Elevate Snapchill Coffee, sold in 354 mL cans with a batch/lot of 13245, an expiry date of 07/07/24 and a UPC of 7 86899 57461 6

Please consult the photograph above for details of the coffee’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled beverages can be found on the Web site above.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Eclipse Coffee Roasters branded Elevate Snapchill Coffee products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian province of Alberta, although it is always possible these beverage products had wider distribution within the country including over the Web. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

Logo - Canadian Food Inspection Agency ("CFIA")According to the CFIA, Eclipse Coffee Roasters has recalled certain batch/lots of Elevate Snapchill Canned Coffee products from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Clostridium botulinum contamination. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Canned Coffee products identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Elevate Snapchill Canned Coffee products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Listeriosis.
