UK/London: THIS!, a London, England establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of THIS! branded Chicken and Bacon Wraps from the British marketplace due to suspected Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (“E.coli”), typically shortened to “STEC” contamination and consequential risks of Gram-negative bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Baked Goods are subject to recall:

  • THIS! Isn’t Chicken and Bacon Wraps, affected batch/lots: all dates up to and including 18 June 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Logo - UK Food Standards Agency ("FSA")According to the FSA, THIS! has recalled certain batch/lots of THIS! branded Chicken and Bacon Wraps from the British  marketplace due to suspected Shiga toxin-producing STEC Escherichia coli contamination contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Baked Goods identified above.

Please note: while these Sandwich Wrap products may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products during the month of June 2024, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled ALDI, Asda, Boots, by Amazon, Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s branded Sandwiches, Rolls and Wraps, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Baked Goods to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

Please note: while these Sandwiches, Rolls and Wraps may be close to or past their use-by dates, they may be in your freezers or storage chillers. If you have purchased these products during the month of June 2024, please check your refrigerators, chillers and/or freezers to ensure these food products have not been stored for future consumption. If found, these products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat bacterial poisonings such as Escherichia coli (“E.coli”).
