Vehicle Recall: Volkswagen Audi Q4 E-Tron EV SUVs

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls an estimated 4,992 model year 2022, 2023 and 2024 Volkswagen Audi Q4 E-Tron EV Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On certain Audi EV SUVs, a Software problem could cause the Parking Lamps to turn off when the Headlights are turned on and a Turn Signal is activated. As a result, the Parking Lamps could be difficult to see. Canadian regulations require the Parking Lamps to stay on constantly when the Headlights are turned on.

Transport Canada reports Parking Lamps that do not work properly could make the vehicle less visible to other drivers and pedestrians and could increase the consequential risks of crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Audi Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to an Authorized Dealership to update the Headlight Control Module Software.
