Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Sweetcorn is subject to recall:

  • Biona Organic Sweetcorn, sold in 340 gram cans with a best before date of 31 August 2019 and batch codes of 9261 LS2D hh:mm 327 and 9261 LS2D hh:mm 328

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

According to the FSA, some of the cans in the batches listed above may have received insufficient sterilisation. As a result, the microbiological safety of these batches may have been compromised and there is the possibility of foodborne illness due to bacterial spoilage. The contents of the affected cans may, but not necessarily must, have developed an unpleasant taste and smell.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure pets and small children can’t access the suspect food.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Sweetcorn, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
