US/Silver Spring: Sun Noodle, a Honolulu, Hawaii establishment, recalls an estimated 37,158 cases of S&S Cup Saimin Dried Noodles with Soup & Garnishes from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) reports the following Dried Noodles are subject to this recall:

• S&S Cup Saimin Dried Noodles with Soup & Garnishes, sold in five (5)-ounce (~137 gram) paper tubs with a batch/lot code of 1623129 to 1623365 with a production date ranging from May 9, 2023 to December 31, 2023); and a batch/lot code of 1624001 to 1624129 with a date code ranging from January 1, 2024 to May 8, 2024. Currently, the only affected batch/lot codes range from 1623129 to 1623365 and from 1624001 to 1624129 with a UPC of 085315089056 or 085315089070 are affected by this recall.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These S&S Cup Saimin Dried Noodles with Soup & Garnishes products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in Hawaii; Fairfield, California; Sacramento, California; San Francisco, California; El Cerrito, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Reno, Nevada; Provo, Utah; and St. George, Utah; although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

Proposed Remedy:
According to the FDA, Sun Noodle has recalled an estimated 37,158 cases of S&S Cup Saimin Dried Noodles with Soup & Garnishes from the American marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Egg.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled S&S Cup Saimin Dried Noodles with Soup & Garnishes, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
