Canada FlagCanada/Ottawa: Taylor Fresh Canada Foods, ULC, a Toronto, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Taylor Farms branded Mexican Style Street Corn Chopped Salad Kits from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected Listeria monocytogenes contamination and consequential risks of Gram-positive bacterial infection, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Corn Salad Kits are subject to this recall:

  • Taylor Farms branded Mexican Style Street Corn Chopped Salad Kits, sold with 329 gram cello packages; affected batch/lots: all best-before date codes up to and including 2024 FE 21 with a UPC of 0 30223 06139 7

==> No item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Taylor Farms Mexican Style Street Corn Salad Kits were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Corn Salad Kits identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after it was reported that the above Salad products were manufactured using Cheese recalled by Rizo-López Foods, Inc. and has been associated with an outbreak investigation in the United States. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.
