Food Recall: Iceland Creamy Chicken Pies

UK/London: Iceland Foods Ltd (“Iceland”), a Deeside, Flintshire, Wales establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Iceland branded Creamy Chicken Pies from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Sulphites, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious and potential fatal situation, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Chicken Pies are subject to recall:

• Iceland branded Creamy Chicken Pies, sold in 568 gram packages of four (4) pies with a best-before date of 12 September 2025

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the UK FSA, Iceland Foods has recalled certain batch/lots of Iceland branded Creamy Chicken Pies from the British marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential undeclared Sulphites. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Chicken Pies identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Iceland branded Creamy Chicken Pies and could be allergic to their Sulphite ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Iceland branded Creamy Chicken Pies, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the Chicken Pies to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-9-9, your closest hospital A&E or emergency centre equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
