UK/London: Daylesford Organic, a Daylesford near Kingham, Cotswolds establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbreads and Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selections products from the British marketplace due to suspected Insect contamination and consequential risks of bacterial infection, choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis, severe illness and/or possible life-changing complications, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The UK Food Standards Agency (“FSA”) reports the following Crispbreads and Savoury Biscuit products are subject to recall:

• Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbreads, sold in 120 gram packages with a best-before date of 22 May 2024 or 5 June 2024
• Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selections, sold in 360 gram packages with a best-before date of 22 May 2024, 5 June 2024 or 10 September 2024
• Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selections, sold in 960 gram packages with a best-before date of 22 May 2024 or 5 June 2024

==> No barcodes, EANs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the UK FSA, Daylesford Organic has recalled certain batch/lots of Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbreads and Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selections products from the British marketplace due to suspected Insect contamination. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Stuffing products identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after it was reported the affected packages of Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbread and Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selection products may be contaminated with Insects, specifically Moths.

In general, if insect, glass, plastic or metal fragments are ingested, they could cut the mouth, stomach or other parts of the GI tract, cause intestinal perforation or serious infection and possibly require surgical intervention for their safe removal.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Daylesford Organic Rye, Spelt & Raisin Crispbread and/or Daylesford Organic Savoury Biscuit Selection products, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, kindly return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat bacterial infection, choking, oral injury, internal ingestion, GI tract laceration damage, bowel obstruction and sepsis.
