Canada/Ottawa: Five Continents International Ltd., a Scarborough, Ontario establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Dalkoku branded Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected mislabeling and consequential improperly declared Milk, a known allergen, source of dietary intolerance and possible trigger of Anaphylaxis, a serious health and safety hazard requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Dried Ramen Noodle products are subject to this recall:

  • Dalkoku branded Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles, sold in 415 gram plastic packages with a date code of 24.1.21 and a UPC of 4 904511 008929

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation. Additional images of the recalled Dried Ramen Noodles can be found on the Web site above.

==> No item numbers, best-before date codes, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Dalkoku branded Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in all Canadian provinces, although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution outside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Dried Ramen Noodles identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated by Canadian Food Inspection Agency test results.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of these recalled Dalkoku branded Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles and could be allergic to their Milk ingredients, have a close family member who is allergic or has previously experienced Anaphylaxis or are unsure of your allergy status, please do not consume them directly nor use them as an ingredient in another dish or preparation. Instead, return the product to the store where you purchased it for a full refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat Anaphylaxis.
