Product Recall: BlendJet 2 Portable Kitchen Blenders

US/Bethesda & Canada/Ottawa: BlendJet Inc., a Benicia, California establishment recalls an estimated total 4.917,000 BlendJet 2 branded Portable Blenders (approximately 4.8 million in the US and approximately 117,000 in Canada) from the American and Canadian marketplaces due to reported in-use overheating and component breakage and/or detachment with consequential risks of fire, laceration and eye injury, all health and/or safety hazards, requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls an estimated 37,115 model year 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Nissan Pathfinder Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On certain Nissan vehicles, dirt buildup could cause the Secondary Hood Latch to stick open after it is used.
