Vehicle Recall: Ford Transit Connect Cargo Vans

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls certain model year 2016 and 2020 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Vans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On the affected Ford Transit vehicles, the Windshield may not be properly attached.

As a result, the Windshield Glass can loosen and could separate from the vehicle in the event of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event, increasing the risk of consequential road hazard, serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries burns, scalds, explosive blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to an Authorized Dealership to inspect and, if necessary, remove and reinstall the vehicle’s Windshield.
