Product Recall: ZLINE RG Gas Range Appliances

US/Bethesda: ZLINE Kitchen and Bath, a Reno, Nevada establishment, expands its existing recall for an estimated 30,000 ZLINE branded 30-inch and 36-inch RG Gas Ranges from the American marketplace to include additional remedy options for owners of the recalled Ranges such as replacement Ranges or a refund.

The original recall was initiated due to suspected operational Carbon Monoxide (“CO”) leakage, consequential risks of Carbon Monoxide poisoning, respiratory collapse and cardiac arrest, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) reports this recall involves the oven compartment of ZLINE branded Gas Ranges with model numbers RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36, and RGB-36 marketed, sold and delivered in the United States, as follows:

• ZLINE branded Gas Ranges with model numbers RG30, RGS-30, RGB-30, RG36, RGS-36 and RGB-36. The recalled Ranges were sold in various door colors including black matte, blue gloss, blue matte, DuraSnow, red gloss, red matte and white matte and multiple finishes including stainless steel, black stainless steel and DuraSnow, a cloudy steel finish.

The recalled Ranges were sold in two (2) sizes, 30 inches and 36 inches. The ZLINE logo can be found printed on the bottom of the door. The model number is printed on a label on the back of the Range. For Ranges purchased after 2020, the model number can also be found printed on a label underneath the right side of the Range Top, visible when the Oven Door is open.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

According to the CPSC, the recalled Ranges can emit dangerous levels of Carbon Monoxide (CO) while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from Carbon Monoxide poisoning to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled ZLINE branded Gas Ranges, please do not use them. Instead, kindly contact the company for a replacement or a refund.

These ranges were recalled in January 2023, and Range owners were offered a repair. With this updated notification, ZLINE has expanded the remedies available to consumers to also include a replacement range or a refund.

All owners who have an affected Range should immediately stop using the Oven Compartment, even if you have already had your Range repaired as part of the prior recall. Consumers who have received a repair are being contacted directly by ZLINE with additional information and about the offer of an inspection, a replacement range or a refund.

Consumers who have not yet scheduled a repair as part of the recall should contact ZLINE for information regarding available remedies. Consumers may continue to use the range tops which are unaffected by the issue.
