Logo - The US Consumer Product Safety CommissionAccording to the CPSC, the small plastic piece containing a high-powered magnet that connects one train to another can detach and/or become loose. If this defect occurs, it poses choking and magnet ingestion hazards to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

If a child swallows more than one small high powered Magnet, components of these Toys can stick together across the walls of the child’s intestine or other digestive tissue, which can lead to internal injuries and even death. These Magnets may need emergency surgical intervention to remove. Further, the Magnets may pose a choking hazard to young children due to small parts. Even post ingestion, survivors can have long-term health consequences requiring medical care and rehabilitation.

In this case, this recall was initiated after one (1) report of the plastic connector becoming loose and detaching from the product. As of press time, no injuries had been reported.
