Vehicle Recall: Audi RS 6, RS Q8 & SQ7 Sedans

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety authority, recalls certain model year 2021 Audi RS 6, Audi RS Q8 and Audi SQ7 Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On the affected Audi vehicles, the Engine Block could crack due to a manufacturing error. According to Transport Canada, this defect could damage other Engine parts, and could result in an oil leak or an Engine failure.

If this defect occurs, a sudden loss of Engine power can increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries burns, scalds, explosive blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Audi Canada will notify affected vehicle owners by mail to advise you to take your vehicle to an Authorized Dealership to inspect and replace the Engine.

The manufacturer’s designation listed for this recall was 2023519.
