Vehicle Recall: Ford Mustang Sports Sedans

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety safety authority, recalls certain 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang Sedans marketed, sold and delivered in Canada.

On certain Ford Mustang Sedans, opening and closing the Trunk Lid could damage the Wiring for the Rearview Camera. If this defect occurs, the Rearview Camera image may not display properly when the driver-operator shifts to REVERSE gear.

A Rearview Camera image that does not display could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage, internal injuries burns, scalds, explosive blast injury, smoke inhalation and/or respiratory and/or cardiac injury.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Ford will notify affected vehicle owners by mail if your vehicle is included in this recall. Ford will replace the Rearview Camera and/or inspect and repair the Decklid Wiring.
