Product Recall: Helga Entertainment Units & Buffet Units

Australia/Canberra: Adore Home Living, a Malaga, Western Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Helga Entertainment Units and Helga Buffet Units from the Australian marketplace due to suspected power cord malfunction and consequential risks of electric shock, fire, burns, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure, cardiac and/or system collapse, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Home Appliance products are subject to this recall:

• Helga Entertainment Units and Helga Buffet Units, consisting of entertainment units and buffet units respectively with built in LED lighting and tempered glass tops and sold with a model number of KD3127TV, KD3127TV-2 or KD3127BF

==> No barcodes, APNs, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Home Appliance products were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Australian state of Western Australia, although it is always possible these home products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the ACCC, Adore Home Living has recalled certain batch/lots of Helga Entertainment Units and Helga Buffet Units from the Australian marketplace due to suspected power cord malfunction. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Home Appliance products identified above.

In this case, this recall was initiated after it was reported that there is missing Capping in the Power Cord that causes the wiring in these products to be unsafe.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Helga Entertainment and/or Helga Buffet Units, please do not use them. Instead, kindly disconnect the power cable from the outlet and contact Adore Home Living to arrange inspection and repair of the furniture.

If you have a medical emergency, please contact 0-0-0, your closest hospital or emergency centre equipped to properly treat electric shock, fire, burns, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure and cardiac and/or system collapse.
