Logo - Health Canada/Santé Canada ("HCSC")According to Health Canada, JM Clément Ltée has recalled an estimated two-hundred-and-thirty-nine (239) – 3-in-1 LEA Baby Luna Infant Cribs from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected failure to meet Canada’s Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations and consequential risks of entrapment, asphyxiation, respiratory failure and cardiac system collapse.

In this case, this recall was initiated after Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program determined these Wooden Baby Cribs do not meet the country’s Cribs, Cradles and Bassinets Regulations. Specifically, the space between the Crib’s Bars may be too wide and if so, a child could get stuck between them. Also, the Crib Bars can break, posing a risk of entrapment and injury to children.

As of September 14, 2023, the company had received no reports of injuries in Canada.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled 3-in-1 LEA Baby Luna Infant Cribs, please do not use them for your child. Instead, kindly contact JM Clément Ltée for a refund. If a refund is not desired, parents and other caregivers should safely dispose of the Crib in such a way that it cannot be used again. Parents should find an alternative safe sleeping environment for their infant.
