Australia/Canberra: FACEswag, an Adelaide, South Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Kids & Toddler Custom Face Artwork Hoodie Blankets from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory safety standard for nightwear for children and consequential risks of burns, scalds, smoke inhalation, respiratory failure and/or cardiac system collapse, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (“ACCC”) reports the following Children’s Clothing products are subject to this recall:

• Kids & Toddler Custom Face Artwork Hoodie Blankets, consisting of wearable made-to-order blanket hoodies with custom artwork

==> No barcodes, APNs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Children’s Clothing products were known to have been marketed, distributed and sold in the Australian states of New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, although it is always possible these clothing products had wider distribution inside the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the ACCC, FACEswag, a Adelaide, South Australia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of Kids & Toddler Custom Face Artwork Hoodie Blankets from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory safety standard. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Clothing Tops identified above.

In this case, the Children’s Clothing products do not comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory safety standard for nightwear for children. Specifically, the FACEswag Kids & Toddler Custom Face Artwork Hoodie Blankets do not have the required fire hazard labelling and therefore pose a risk of serious burn injuries if exposed to a heat or open flame source.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled the FACEswag Kids & Toddler Custom Face Artwork Hoodie Blankets, please do not use them nor dress your child in them. Instead, kindly contact FACEswag to be provided with either:

• A fire warning label and instructions to attach to the Blanket Hoodie, or
• A replacement Blanket Hoodie in exchange for the existing recalled one
