Logo - Australian Competition & Consumer Commission ("ACCC")According to the ACCC, The Oodie recalls certain batch/lots of Kids Beach Oodie Clothing Tops from the Australian marketplace due to suspected failure to comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory safety standard. As a direct result of this suspected defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Clothing Tops identified above.

In this case, the Children’s Clothing products do not comply with the requirements of Australia’s mandatory safety standard for nightwear for children. Specifically, the Kids Beach Oodie Clothing Tops do not have the required fire hazard labelling and therefore pose a risk of serious burn injuries if exposed to a heat or open flame source.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession the recalled Kids Beach Oodie Clothing Tops, please do not use them nor dress your child in them. Instead, kindly contact The Oodie to be provided with either:

  1. A fire warning label with product attachment instructions to attach on the Beach Oodie explaining the risks of fire to this garment and to those who wear it; or
  2. A replacement Beach Oodie from the Kids Beach product range, in exchange for the non-compliant product on hand.
