Drug Warning: BodyArmor Super & Lyte Energy Drinks

Canada/Ottawa: S. Shivji Ventures Ltd., a Delta, British Columbia establishment, recalls certain batch/lots of BodyArmor branded Super Drinks and BodyArmor branded Lyte Drinks from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected over-fortification of vitamins and minerals and labelling issues, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (“CFIA”) reports the following Sports Drink products are subject to this recall:

• BodyArmor branded Super Energy Drinks; affected batch/lots: all sizes, flavours and codes that do not have bilingual (English and French) labelling
• BodyArmor branded Lyte Energy Drinks; affected batch/lots: all sizes, flavours and codes that do not have bilingual (English and French) labelling

Please consult the photograph above for details of the food’s packaging, design and retail presentation.

==> No barcodes, UPCs, item numbers, best-before date codes, manufacturing date codes, production dates, expiry dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These BodyArmor branded Super Drinks and BodyArmor branded Lyte Energy Drinks were known to be marketed, distributed and sold in the Canadian provinces of Alberta
and British Columbia although it is always possible these food products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to the CFIA, S. Shivji Ventures Ltd. has recalled certain batch/lots of BodyArmor branded Super Drinks and BodyArmor branded Lyte Drinks from the Canadian marketplace due to suspected over-fortification of vitamins and minerals and labelling issues. As a result of this reported defect, you should neither serve nor consume the recalled Energy Drinks identified above.

==> Never depend on your senses of sight, smell, taste or touch to confirm food poisoning, adulteration or contamination. If in doubt about the safety of any food, return it to your retailer for refund or toss it out in your household garbage, making sure neither small children nor household pets can access the suspect food.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat over-fortification of vitamins and minerals.
