Product Recall: Wayfair Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirrors

Canada/Ottawa: Darmy Global LLC, a Dover, Delaware establishment, recalls an estimated 80 Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirrors from the Canadian marketplace due to reported adhesive failure and consequential risks of falls, laceration, amputation, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury, all serious health and safety hazards requiring immediate medical intervention to minimize pain and suffering as well as prevent life-altering injury or death.

Additional information:
Health Canada/Santé Canada (“HCSC”) reports the following Accent Mirrors were produced on dates ranging from August 2019 to September 2019 and are subject to this recall:

• Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirror, sold with a model number of DM015BK-2436, a Black frame, measuring approximately 24 inches (~60.96 centimetres) by 36 inches (~91.44 centimetres)
• Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirror, sold with a model number of DM015BK-2230, a Black frame, measuring approximately 22 inches (~55.88 centimetres) by 30 inches (~76.2 centimetres)
• Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirror, sold with a model number of DM015CS-2230, a Silver frame, measuring approximately 22 inches (~55.88 centimetres) by 30 inches (~76.2 centimetres)
• Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirror, sold with a model number of DM015G-2230, a Gold frame, measuring approximately 22 inches (~55.88 centimetres) by 30 inches (~76.2 centimetres)

==> No barcodes, UPCs, manufacturing date codes, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

These Accent Mirrors were known to be marketed, distributed and sold by Wayfair.ca in all Canadian provinces, although it is always possible these home accessory products had wider distribution within the country. When in doubt, please contact the manufacturer for specific product information.

According to Health Canada, Darmy Global has recalled an estimated 80 Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirrors from the Canadian marketplace due to reported adhesive failure and consequential risks of falls, laceration, amputation, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”) injury to people who utilize the product in a reasonable manner expected with its intended design and anticipated use.

In this case, this recall was initiated after the company received three (3) reports of Mirrors detaching from their frames in Canada. As of the date of this recall, no injuries had been reported.

Proposed Remedy:
If you believe you have purchased or have in your possession any of the recalled Rathburn Venetian Accent Mirrors, please do not use them. Instead, carefully check the label pasted on the backboard of the Mirror and locate its production date. If the production date is listed as August 2019 or September 2019, please stop using the recalled Accent Mirrors and contact the company for a refund.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat laceration, amputation, concussion, bone fractures and/or central nervous system (“CNS”).
