Vehicle Recall: Nissan Rogue SUVs & Frontier Pickup Trucks

Canada/Ottawa: Transport Canada, an Ottawa, Ontario regulatory and safety safety authority, recalls certain 2021 and 2022 model year Nissan Rogue Sport Utility Vehicles (“SUVs”) and 2022 model year Nissan Frontier Pickup Trucks marketed, sold and delivered in Canada due to under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the In-Vehicle Infotainment System to continuously reboot.

If this defect occurs, happens, the Rearview Camera Image will not appear on the display. Canadian regulations require the Rearview Image to display when the transmission is shifted into REVERSE gear.

A Rearview Camera image that does not display could reduce a driver’s ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up and could increase the risk of a crash, motor vehicle collision (“MVC”) or other impact event with consequential serious injury and/or life-changing results.

==> If you have a medical emergency, please contact 9-1-1, your closest hospital or emergency center equipped to properly treat lacerations, concussions, bone fractures, amputation, central nervous system (“CNS”) damage and/or internal injuries.

==> No VINs, item numbers, manufacturing date codes, production dates, regulatory approval designations, registration numbers, agency approval designations or other identification numbers were listed with this recall notification.

Proposed Remedy:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and ask you to make an appointment with your local dealer to update the In-vehicle Infotainment System Software. For vehicles with over-the-air (“OTA”) update capability, Nissan will send a wireless over-the-air Software Update to each vehicle.
